Gunn Productions started out many years ago as a class project for my son Jonathan, then a junior in high school. We do music production for both stage and studio. We can turn your idea for a party, festival, concert, CD or DVD,into a reality. Any size stage to lights and sound we can do it all.

We have done shows for Arlen Ness including his Grand Opening. A two day event with a small stage outdoors for local bands and a grand stage indoors for Eddie Money and The Royal Doggs. We booked all the entertainment as well. Portions of this show were used in the Discovery Channel’s feature on Arlen including some of the soundtrack recorded by Gunn Productions’ own Jonathan “Young Gunn”.

The following summer, in ‘ 04, we produced the Thunder From Down Under also for Arlen Ness. This show was for 300 bikers from Australia (plus several hundred of our locals) coming to tour the states on their bikes. For this show we booked Bad Motor Scooter himself Ronnie Montrose, as well as the stage and sound.

We did San Leandro’s Sausage & Suds Festival two years in a row. We brought in Cold Blood and Tommy Castro, among others, plus members of Santana, and Malo for those shows.

We also do charity events and fund raisers like the Save the Music Festival in Redwood City, also two years in a row and Caring for Kids, the NFL Alumni’s organization.

We have done several shows lately for our dear friend, Marjorie “Just Me” Saraiva and her charity, Spinabifida Organization.

In ’05 I co-produced country artist, Tim Murphy’s CD “Ain’t No Shame” as well as wrote a couple of songs including the title track. This was released on Big 7 Records www.big7records.com (http://www.big7records.com/) and has had two singles thus far, Wild Wild West and All The Silence I Can Stand. The third single, Burn Me Down, and DVD will be released later this month in Nashville. Tim was just named New Country Artist of the Year in ’06 by New Music Weekly due to the success of the first two singles. Also in ’05 I had a song, co-written with Ira Walker, titled “Let’s Give Love A Try” on Tommy Castro’s CD Soul Shaker. This was released on Blind Pig Records and the song was nominated for a Grammy.

My band, The Royal Doggs, backed up Eddie Money on his ’06 release, Wanna Go Back. We also did all the background vocals on this record which was released on Big Deal Productions. The first single, You Don’t Know Me, hit radio January 22 and is scheduled to hit XM andSirius radio in early Spring. Later in “06, I produced a single for a real California Cowboy named Jim Brown. The song is called Street People and was released in conjunction with a concert benefiting the homeless in Southern California. We were asked to handle this stage production too.

Ira Walker and I co-produced a rockabilly kinda guy named Kurt Crasper in late ‘06. His CD was released in early ’07 and was also nominated for a Grammy.

In December of ‘08 we were asked to help produce a show for Mike Ditka’s charity, Grid Iron Greats. The show took place in Scottsdale, AZ the day before the Super Bowl. For that show we had the Royal Doggs back up our host, Cowboy Troy, Joe Nichol, Pat Travers, Eric Martin, Jani Lane, Nils Lofgren and headliner Mr. Bad Company himself, Paul Rogers. That was a real honor playing with such renowned artists not to mention one of my true inspirations.

I left Arizona on Super Bowl Sunday and landed in Nashville where I immediately began working on pre – production with co-producers Tommy Wurth and John Ford Coley on songs for Eddie Money’s next release. That was another inspiring venture that in three days produced 4 songs, 3 featuring Country Hall of Famer, Vince Gill. From basics to mastering our Nashville crew worked like the Industry’s Top Dawgs that they are and gave Eddie a whole new sound we were looking to achieve. Be on the look out for a soon to be released single as a result of those sessions.

Gunn Productions recently opened a new private recording studio called The Ammo Room, located near the 580/680 crossroads. We offer old school warmth (analog and tubes) with today’s digital technology (Pro-tools). We are currently booking sessions by appointment only for bands or independent artists, voice-overs, songwriter workshops as well as guitar and singing lessons. For further info please call (510) 310-GUNN or email us royaldoggs@gmail.com

I recently got into something a little different. That is, co-producing a TV show for local KOFY TV with a viewer ship of 2.6 million strong and growing. The show is called Live @ The Burro and airs every Saturday night at 11:00. We showcase Classic Rock Icons of the 60’s-90’s that got their start right here in the Bay Area. So far we have featured Eddie Money, TESLA, Cold Blood, Tower of Power and have Country Joe McDonald, Tommy Castro and others on deck for future shows. We also do a Local Band Spotlight as part of the show where we give up and comers a few minutes to hype their music and shows. You never know, we might just show up at one of your shows to put you on the tube.

Laura B, internet radio personality at www.hotmix106.com (http://www.hotmix106.com/)and I have begun a new show called The Hot Spot where we devote some time to up and coming bands, singers/songwriters and comedians who we believe have that special something that the World needs to be aware of. I’ve been doing this a while now and have put together a team of

Professionals that, with the completion of the new studio, are ready to help launch the careers of some of that large pool of new,

young talent out there as well those just itchin to get some songs recorded. We have partnered up with several recording studios and engineers in the Bay Area and Nashville so that we can keep a steady flow of projects going all at

once. When finished tracking at one studio we can begin mixing at another, and yet mastering at another. Drum tones aren’t right? We can take it to another studio with higher ceilings then back to mine for some overdubs…Dig?

With friends like Jesse at Battlefield Productions, Doc at Foothill Productions andKaren at Tribute Video Productions (http://tributevideo.tv/)we can produce your video for your press kit, youtube, website or maybe to include on Live @ The Burro. You see,we have a network of seasoned pros at your disposal!

We can also help develop your crew so that your live show comes off as pro as should be! Give us a call, set up an appointment so we can get started on your project right away. Time’s clickin by…Don’t wait for it to happen, MAKE IT HAPPEN.
